This movie records YMO’s concert in May 1997. I swear to having no idea on this lighting trick until yesterday (2011).

How to compose a song like Tetsuya Komuro の訳．
まず曲を4パートにわけて考える．各々のパートは8小節で，4小節の2回繰り返しにしておく．各パートを A, B, C, D とすると，曲の流れは C, A, B, (A, B,) C, A, B, C, D, C, C （半音上げる）．
Cパート（Cメロ）は曲の鍵の部分で，TK風にするには，コード進行を VI, IV, V, I とする．ハ長調なら Am, F, G, C だ．
A, B, D はCパートほど重要ではない．Aパートに関しては，よく知られたコード進行を借用するだけでよい．例えばハ長調なら C, G, Am, Em7 とか Am, Em, F, G とか C, G/B, Am, G, F, Em, D, G(7) だ．
B, D パートは（僕の記憶が確かなら）よりシンプルなコード進行が選ばれる．それこそ F, G, C (Am) とか F, C, F, G だ．
さて，GarageBandを開いて適当なダンスリズムを下敷きに，ベースとピアノか何かでコードを入れて，適当にメロディを入れてみよう．
First you need four musical sequences which lasts about 8 measures. Let’s call them A, B, C, D. Each sequences are basically repetitions of two 4-measure sequences.
The song we will compose will have those sequences in this order: C, A, B, (A, B,) C, A, B, C, D, C, C (sharp by a half tone).
The C is the key part of the song. Chords of this sequence is very important. To make a song like TK, use VI, IV, V, I (e.g. Am, F, G, C).
In contrast to C sequence, A, B, and perhaps D are not very important. For example, in A sequence you can choose one of well-known chord sequences like (in C-major) C, G, Am, Em7, or Am, Em, F, G, or C, G/B, Am, G, F, Em, D, G(7).
TK often chooses more simple chord sequences (as far as I remember) in B and D sequences, e.g. F, G, C (Am), or F, C, F, G.
Now you can open GarageBand and start with Rhythm part by filling dance rhythm patterns, put Base and possibly Piano under the above ideas, and try giving a melody to your tune.

What will you do when you feel very very happy? I know the answer. You will sing and dance. There is no exception. It doesn’t matter how well you sing or dance. (I know this because even I do.)
I said there is no exception. It is true that even professional musicians sing for fun after their concert is over. Singers sing after singing.
One day I told my this discovery to one of my friend, and she said “Oh, it is as same as golfers does. They play golf after their golf competition, you know.”
Now I know music and golf are ultimate hobbies. Unfortunately I don’t have either one of the talents.
嬉しいときに何をする？歌って踊るよね？例外はない．下手でも，歌ったり踊ったりすることは楽しいし，嬉しいときには必ずすることなんだ．（僕でさえするのだから．）
例外はないと言ったよね．そう，ミュージシャンでさえ，舞台がはねたら歌う．仕事で歌って，打ち上げでも歌うんだ．
これは大発見！と思って友人に話したら，「それってゴルファーも一緒だよ．打ち上げでゴルフしてる．」って教えてもらった．なるほどね．僕にはどちらの才能もないけれど．
